Chris Walker

I have been interested in Art since my schooldays. I now enjoy painting with gouache. Although I loved the Cubist style for a while, I now favour Fauvism with its bright colours in my paintings, focusing mainly on landscapes.

For the last 33 years, my husband and I have travelled the world extensively. This has involved travel to all 7 continents. Initially our trips included a lot of trekking, even reaching Everest Base Camp. Now, the focus is more local. 

Our travel has inspired me to paint what I see. I always use A4 paper as gouache doesn’t lend itself to large scale painting. Latterly, I have discovered black paper which I love.

As well as sharing my paintings with friends, I have had art works accepted for the Northumberland Open at Woodhorn Museum Gallery. I have also worked on commissions.

Heather Howarth

My love of all things organic inspires my art work, particularly Nature’s shapes and textures. I work with acrylics, pastels and inks to express mood and narrative.

Recent exhibitions include Woodhorn Museum Gallery, the Newcastle Summer Art Show and various other events.

I have also worked on several commissions.

Michael Dennison

Michael works in acrylics, pastel and pencil and likes to share his passion for the outdoors and wildlife in his art.

He has exhibited in many North Eastern community settings including The Bay artist’s Group, Cullercoats Art Club and Coquetdale Arts Centre. He takes commissions specialising in people, pets and buildings.

Michael developed his drawing and painting skills at Bradford, Bristol and Newcastle Art Colleges, and Newcastle and Northumbria Universities. He actively supports Art in the community.
