About The Three Artists

Chris Walker:

I am known as Healthy Pensioner on Instagram.  I have been interested in art since school days where I achieved O level Art.    Since discovering Fauvism and its bright colours, I am now inspired to paint landscapes in gouache on black A4 paper.

Having travelled the world with my husband over the last 30 years, I am inspired by the many different landscapes.

I am continuing with my passion for art by taking classes and having paintings accepted for Northumberland Open at Woodhorn Museum.

Heather Howarth:
I specialised in ceramics at college, followed by a career teaching Art and Design up to A level standard.  Now happily retired, I create for my own pleasure where my preferred medium is acrylic/soft pastels.

My love of natural form and texture is reflected in my work.  I source my inspiration mostly from the wild and rugged Northumberland countryside.

Ruth Saunders:

Has submitted work to Woodhorn Mueseum for the Northumberland Open.
