hearth hub

Our small building on the site of the Hearth, offers you the 'Joy of being 'outside' yet warm and cozy, close to nature, this is a truly peaceful setting to enjoy.  Large glass double doors open out to a gravelled outdoor area and small wild garden. 

01 ENTRANCE

The Hearth Hub is in a garden setting and is accessed via the car park to the rear of the Hearth Arts Centre or from the back courtyard and up a set of stairs. The Hearth Cafe is also accessed from both the front and rear of the Hearth Arts Centre with stunning views across the Tyne Valley.


02 DESCRIPTION

Hearth Hub measures 4m x 5m.  A custom-built wooden building with white painted internal decor, wooden laminated flooring and large double-glazed windows and good overhead lighting. The Hub doors open out onto a small garden with stairs on the right leading to the rear of the Hearth, with easy access to the Café and the Hall during opening hours.


03 CAN PROVIDE

I Free parking in the Hearth car park or when full on the main road.

I  Have immediate access from the rear car park, with 2 dedicated accessible parking spaces adjoining the Hub. (Currently there is a step up into the building).

I An accessible ramp into the Hub.

I Toilets are accessible down the stairs or the sloping driveway leading down to the main building.  During Café opening hours toilets are made available up until 3pm on a Wednesday and 4pm on remaining day except Mondays when Café is closed.

I WI-Fi

Refreshments are available from the Hearth Café during opening hours.

I Tables can be installed to easily accommodate 10 or more. 

I Accommodates a large table and chairs.

I 8 electrical sockets


04 SUITABLE FOR

We at the Hearth are keen for the space to be used by small Community Groups and for them to benefit from the lovely open feeling space for:

I Meetings and Activities    

I Perfect Meditation Space,  Counselling Sessions etc.   

I small workshops & classes

I small private functions

I small workplace awaydays & meetings

I SEATING CAPACITY 10 or more: arrange a viewing if more than 10 with Arts Centre Co-ordinator, Ali Wilkes


FUTURE PLANS IN HAND:

Improved toilet access

No water currently in the Hub but future plans are to install a small sink unit.

New furnishings


05 CHARGES

  • Hourly Rate:

£6 per hour until 2024

10% community discount not applicable

  • Dimensions: 5M x 4M

  • Capacity: 1-10 dependent on room set-up


06 BOOKING DETAILS

  • Minimum 2-hour rental

  • 30-minute buffer for time spent setting up & 30-minute buffer for time spent clearing up will not be charged


FUNDS FROM HIRE

The Hearth Charity is non-profit making and money received is used to help with running costs and the development of our charitable aims and community activities.
