Fiona Carvell
Of her medium, Fiona says, "Pastel gives me the freedom and flexibility to approach each subject in a particular way, to translate energy, thought, and emotion into something visual."
Fiona is an award winning pastel Artist, based in Shotley Bridge. A Signature Member of the Pastel Society of America (PSA) well as an Associate Member of The Society of Graphic Fine Art (SGFA), recent exhibitions have included The Pastel Society UK and the SGFA in London (2020 - 2024), as well as solo shows in Northumberland. Her work is represented by several galleries across the UK. She has received recognition both nationally and internationally for her exceptional drawing skills, technical proficiency, and innovative use of pastel techniques. Her strong visual compositions, painterly style, and textures add a sense of physicality to the work.
