We need your help at this difficult time.

Please make a donation towards The Hearth Centre Charity.

The Hearth Charity has been a hub for arts, music, heritage and hospitality for 16 years and is governed by a board of voluntary trustees.

Our centre houses nine independent small businesses including eight artists’ studios and the Hearth Cafe. We also have a hall which is a valuable community asset.

As a community charity we are proud to have supported all our tenants through lockdown and are working to assist current hall-hirers through reduced hire rates and extra health and safety measures.

Since closing in March 2020 due to Covid19 our income has reduced dramatically as some community groups are unable to meet and regular classes are no longer able to take place in the hall.

We are asking for your support over the forthcoming months so that we can remain open and ready for when restrictions are lifted. We look forward to welcoming more visitors and resuming all of our activities.

In the past few years our developments have included:

Our Music Programme: concerts by local, national and international musicians, with a special focus on supporting young emerging musicians.

Our Talks: we have welcomed experts in the fields of archaeology, local history and heritage.

Our ‘Free for Young People’ activities: offering opportunities for local young people to make and create, free of charge.

Our Open Studios Weekends: an opportunity for resident and guest artists and makers to sell their work and for visitors to learn about their craft and skill.

Our Community Hall: a varied selection of classes and workshops including Yoga, Pastels, Weaving, Drawing, Painting, Textile work, Book Binding and of course, Singing Babies and Squeaky Feet who have been with us from the beginning.

Thank You!
