With over thirty years of experience teaching and creating art, he has a wealth of knowledge and skills to share. Based in the vibrant North East, he has shared his passion for art through esteemed institutions like Newcastle University, The Laing Art Gallery, and local colleges in Newcastle and Gateshead. As a talented demonstrator for SAA, Jason captivates audiences with his engaging techniques and deep understanding of this versatile medium. Additionally, he runs his own online educational video platform, Studio, where aspiring artists can explore and master a variety of painting techniques alongside him.
Fiona Carvell I artist specialising in pastels and soft pencil
Fiona is a member of various art societies and has received recognition for her exceptional drawing skills, technical proficiency, and innovative use of pastel techniques. Fiona regularly showcases her work both nationally and internationally. Her strong visual compositions, painterly style, and texture add a sense of physicality. Of her medium, Fiona says, "Pastel gives me the freedom and flexibility to approach each subject in a particular way, to translate energy, thought, and emotion into something visual.
