Christmas crafts

"Nothing could have made me feel more Festive!"

Pop-in Christmas Craft making event on 7th December 19 - Run by the most gifted Crafty Angels Team – supported by the highly talented group of Crafty Volunteers. It never ceases to amaze me just how much talent we have virtually on our doorstep at the Hearth. Many, many thanks to all concerned.

Everyone was welcome but the focus was on youngsters aged around 3 years – 12 plus their families. We set up 6 – 8 crafty workstations each area offering a different activity with a ‘Table Leader’ to encourage and assist the youngster to create a unique Christmas Treasure – such as Christmas cards, gift tags, sour dough Tree decorations, very special Peg Snowmen and a very charismatic Santa plus chunky snowmen made out of white socks and lentils!!!! Yes Lentils - Unbelievable I know.

Whilst the children were being creative there were hot drinks and mince pies for the more adult amongst us.

It was a total Joy of a December morning and we received some lovely feedback from a Mum and her daughter:

‘Please could you pass on my thanks to Pam, it was a wonderful morning -

Annie and her friends thoroughly enjoyed it and we've got some lovely things

to keep forever.’

Thanks so much for that your feedback is very much appreciated by us all at the Hearth – Hope to see you there next year!!
