About the event

2018 marked the centenary of women exercising the vote for the first time. The struggle of local women to make that happen was to have a profound effect on the rest of the 20th Century. This lecture looks at just how they did it and what the implications were for future political movements. Rosie Serdiville is a local historian with a particular interest in radical history.
