Mandy's studio will as usual be a visual delight as she mixes in work for sale with objects and textiles that inspire her.Her studio gives a glimpse in to her working process and the antique and vintage cloth that are the starting point for her collages, dolls and fabric books.

Visit watercolour artist David Holliday in Castle View Studio. David has been busy painting several new images including a Sunrise over Lindisfarne and Hadrian's Wall and a ghostly image of Sycamore Gap entitled 'An Echo from the past'.

Explore her latest ceramic sculptures and jewellery, inspired by geological features, craggy, rugged landscape and coastline, weathered and shaped by nature, including humans. Melanie has recently expanded her ‘Shibui’ porcelain jewellery range and ‘Tumblestone’ sculptures. Feel the textured, lichen like surface of ‘Traced Tarn Tumblestones’, punctuated with striking bronze markings.

Kate Miller
Printmaking
Kate is a printmaker working in linocut, making reduction prints in small limited editions, inspired by the nature and landscapes of Northumberland and the northeast. Her prints start with a walk, are developed from photographs and sketches, and result in studies of colour and shape within a landscape.

Jane Charles Studio Glass

Jane Charles has been in business since 1987, working in the traditional methods of hot glass producing a range of freeblown vases, bowls, bottles, paperweights and sculptural forms in an array of vivid colours , textures and finishes. Her studio is the only independent hot glass studio left in the North East of England.

Andrea Kirkup Needlefelted Art

Andrea Kirkup was born in Newcastle upon Tyne and now lives in Hexhamshire. She has always had a love of textiles and discovered needle felting in 2019. Inspired by her love of animals and the natural world, Andrea creates detailed wool sculptures of animals and atmospheric felted landscapes. Each piece is carefully handcrafted from wool.

Diane Stewardson Jewellery

Diane uses traditional skills to make a range of contemporary mixed metal jewellery using sterling silver, copper and brass. Her designs are based on geometric shapes and movement. Diane's work is all handmade in Northumberland.

Ruby Jones
Jewellery
Ruby Jones designs and creates distinctive jewellery using the heritage skills of hand beadweaving and embroidery. Blending her love of texture and colour, she combines Japanese seed beads, Czech glass and hand-dyed silk to craft both everyday pieces and bold statement designs. Each piece is thoughtfully designed and handmade in her home studio.

The Crafty Wagtails
Cyanotype
Emily creates cyanotypes inspired by the countryside of Northumberland. She works with botanicals from her garden, meadows and woodlands, combining natural materials with the rich blue tones of this Victorian photographic process. Using dry and wet cyanotype techniques, Emily creates layered prints full of depth, texture and subtle variations in tone.

Cath is a Whitley Bay based Printmaker and laser cut dabbler. She creates her designs using a combination of drawing, paper cutting and layering colour. Taking detailed drawings down to their most basic form she creates vibrant original Art Works using tradition methods of printing.

Becky Mackenzie Ceramics
Ceramics
Becky is a ceramic artist with a practice rooted in process, place, and materiality. Trained at Saint Martins, with a background in paper conservation, she combines wheel-throwing, mould-making, and slip-casting to produce refined, minimal ceramic forms shaped by her rural surroundings. Becky also facilitates socially-engaged creative projects with young people and communities.

Donna Cheshire is a contemporary textiles artist, based in Newcastle. She combines her love of colour and texture with a passion for walking and experiencing the British landscape, particularly the hills and coastline. From this engagement, Donna stitches images of a particular time and place, conjuring the mood of the natural environment with cloth and thread.
