The Cherry Pickers are 4 musicians who play Americana, electric folk, Country, Jazz and the Blues. They are based in, and around Hexham.
Between them they play; concertina, harmonica, Cajun box, melodeon, accordion, bass, banjo and guitar, banjolele, steel uke, washboard, spoons, kazoo, tambourine and voices!
They perform their own material, as well as singing a range of songs. They are known for their up-beat; entertaining stage presence; musicianship, and harmonies. They are celebrating their 300 birthday this year!
They regularly play gigs in the Tyne Valley. They have played at Maddy Prior’s Stepping Stones Festival, opened the Corbridge Festival and played at the Tall Ships at Blyth. They regularly play at Hexham Bluegrass and Americana Festival and at public and private events. They have released their 4th CD.
