A repair club for those interested in keeping much loved clothes and textiles in use. Are your favourite clothes in need of a little love?

Come along and see what’s possible with a few hand stitches, oddments of yarn and scraps of fabric. We might not have the skills for every worn item, but we can certainly learn together. For previous generations, mending was a necessity, but times have changed. We need to change our mindset and realise that wearing the clothes we already have in our wardrobe is good for our planet. Whilst you might be able to pay someone to replace a broken zip, other repairs may require a little more time and love. Why not enjoy that process? There’s something about the touch of a well-worn piece of fabric. Patch those jeans, fix that hole in your favourite jumper… or even a humble tea towel. Wear them in, don’t wear them out!

Refreshments available from the Hearth Cafe.
