About the event

Suffragette Emily Wilding Davison was a militant and fearless fighter for the cause of Votes for Women, suffering imprisonment and force feeding whilst on hunger strike and would go on to be the only suffragette martyr. In this fictionalised debate Emily meets with David Lloyd George, future Prime Minister, critic of the actions of the Suffragettes and victim of a bomb attack at their hands. In what will be a lively and passionate discourse, the cause of the Suffragettes will clash with Government objection as typified in the figure of David Lloyd George.  This presentation will be hosted by Time Bandits Beverley Palin and John Sadler, historical interpreters.

Please register and you will receive log-in details prior to the event.  This talk is free to attend, but donations are welcome.
