Make yourself potions to ward off the winter chills... As the clocks change and we celebrate All Hallows' Eve, it is the perfect time of the year to discover the medicinal and magical properties of plants and their roots.

About the event
At this very special workshop you will learn to use roots such as Marshmallow, Echinacea, Liquorice, Ginger, Turmeric and Ashwagandha as well as botanicals and spices like Cinnamon, Star Anise, Hyssop, Thyme, Coltsfoot, Wormwood, Mugwort and Yarrow.
We will make a traditional cough syrup, a vapour rub, a tincture from roots and a lemon and ginger oxymel. You will discover the magical properties of some plants and make your own amulet and a smudge stick.
You will take home - Cough Syrup, Vapour Rub, Oxymel, Root Tincture, plus Smudge Sticks and Amulets.
Catherine lives in Berwick-upon-Tweed in Northumberland and as well as being a Registered Bach Flower Remedy Practitioner, has a Diploma in Herbology and horticultural certificates from the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh and the Royal Horticultural Society as well as cosmetic certificates from Aromantics and level 2 Perfumery from Cotswold Perfumery.
