Workshop I Printmaking
SEEDHEADS LINOCUT PRINTING
Friday, 04.09.26, 10am-12.30pm, £60 per person, Led by Kate Miller

This workshop is a great introduction to linocut printing, suitable for absolute beginners, or those are a bit rusty or who haven't used lino since school days! Age 12+ can attend with an accompanying participating adult.
You will be given a basic introduction to linocut printmaking - how the process works, which materials you will need, demonstrations on how to cut and ink, etc.
You will then take inspiration from nature, looking at the forms of dried seedheads to design your print. You will be taken step by step through each stage, from drawing out the design, to cutting the block, to inking the block, to printing the design onto paper.
You will have the chance to make more than one print during the session, perhaps experimenting with different inks and papers.
This workshop will take place in the hall, on Friday 4th September, 10am-12.30pm.
Refreshments will be available in the hall, and there is no need to bring anything along - all materials will be provided. The onsite Hearth Cafe will be open for food and beverages.
There is a minimum number of participants required to run this workshop. If not enough tickets are sold, you will receive a full refund. The ticket price is £60 per person.
