Tree Day

NATIONAL TREE WEEK’s celebration of trees takes place from 23rd November – 1st December.

As part of the Hearth’s Environmental Initiative we are planting  native trees to the rear of the Hearth Centre  and we would love you to join us!

In the Hall there will be hot drinks and nibbles, for children under 16, there will be a TREEmendous competition with prizes on the day 

· Write a poem about a Tree   

· Do a drawing of a tree   

· Write a story about a tree   

This event has been sponsored by The Tree Council.

We also have to send enormous thanks to Northumbrian Water Limited, (Horsley Plant), and Tom Martin from Plants that Grow at Tom & Joe’s Nursery in Wylam for their significant help with this community project.
