About the event
The professional actor/readers at demi-paradise are back with this year’s choice of three supernatural short stories guaranteed to give you a spine tingling listening treat. With the lights turned down low, in such comfortable intimate settings, what is there not to like?
The Phantom Coach by Amelia B Edwards (1864) A lost huntsman, stranded on the snowbound Pennine moors, sees a light and seeks help, only to discover it comes at a price. Safe as Houses by Christine Poulson (2007) Guy & Mary live in a smart home with their toddler son Toby, their domestic needs and security controlled by state of the art technology. Then something gets into the system and things start to go wrong, very wrong. Three Miles Up by Elizabeth Jane Howard (1951) Clifford and John hire a long boat for a summer jaunt. When the ill matched friends are joined by the charismatic and mysterious Sharon a different voyage of discovery begins.
Suitable for adults and children aged 11 upward.
Tickets £10 (adults) £5 (11 to 18s)
