About the Course
Developed from one of my lockdown sketchbook prompts, my Bloom workshop is a mixed media approach to floral art. With plenty of materials to inspire, I will guide you through laying a painted "ground", before adding decoupage florals and stitch to create your own blooming vase!
Refreshments are provided on the day and you are welcome to bring lunch or treat yourself to a delicious lunch from The Hearth Cafe!

Jessica Kinnersley
Jessica Kinnersley is a local textile artist and tutor who studied Textiles and Surface Design before embarking on a career in art teaching and freelance embroidery design. She now develops her own artwork from her studio at The Hearth and continues to enjoy teaching in a range of different settings. Working predominantly with found and repurposed linens, papers and objects, Jessica layers textures, stitched musings and printed images to create nostalgic, slow-stitched textile art. Her work explores memory, narrative and landscape.
