Open daily for sit-in service and outside covered seating is available, as are takeaways. We are a dog-friendly facility and offer vegetarian, vegan & gluten-free. Serves teas, freshly ground coffee, homemade cakes & scones, light lunches, Sunday roast, licensed craft beer & wine and the popular all-day breakfast.

ACCESSIBILITY
Please note that access to the artists’ studios is via stairs; there is no lift access for wheelchair users. The studios on the ground floor, at the back of the hall (Rebecca Vincent and Melanie Hopwood), have two steps to enter them. The Café, Reception and Hall have level access. There is also a separate parking space at the rear of The Hearth for easy access.
PARKING
There is a small, free car park behind the Hearth: Look out for the turning just beside the cafe. There is also free parking along the road. Please don't park in the Lion and Lamb car park as this is for their patrons only.
DIRECTIONS
ROAD - From the East
Take the A69 from Newcastle upon Tyne towards Carlisle, turnoff for the B6528 keep left for Horsley and follow the signs from there to Horsley village. The Hearth is situated on the right opposite the Lion and Lamb Pub.
ROAD - From the West
Take the A69 from Hexham towards Newcastle upon Tyne, turnoff for the B6528 keep right for Horsley and follow the signs from there to Horsley village. The Hearth is situated on the left opposite the Lion and Lamb Pub.

We try to accommodate everyone and hope you would respect the parking restrictions by securing the cycles outside of designated parking.

The Hearth is situated in the Tyne Valley surrounded by walking routes to Hadrians Wall to the North and Ovingham, Prudhoe, Horsley Woods and Wylam to the South.
