Jessica Kinnersley
textile artist
Jessica Kinnersley is a local textile artist who creates mixed media pieces using vintage linens, papers and hand embroidery. She is inspired by the things she finds, which inform the scale and theme of a piece. Lovingly repurposed; her work often features hand-stitched musings and printed images, layered to create nostalgic textile art and collages.
In February 2023, Jessica was been chosen as the winner of the Belsay Design Challenge for her range of unique textile and print products. The challenge, delivered by the Rural Design Centre Innovation Project, in collaboration with English Heritage at Belsay Hall, Castle and Gardens was developed to attract North East based craftspeople who could produce bespoke contemporary gift products which were inspired by Belsay.
Jessica is available to deliver both in-person and online workshops, exploring a range of creative textile techniques. She is also experienced in delivering community and participatory art programmes and welcomes inquiries for this. Please contact Jessica directly for further information.
