Cathy Duncan
printmaker
Cathy Duncan is a printmaker specialising in linocuts. Her subjects vary from flowers and landscapes to musicians and actors. All her linocuts are based on sketches that she does from life, and her sketches in pen and ink are also exhibited by her.
She has drawn Music festivals in Hexham and Keswick and her latest exhibition is of linocuts and sketches she made about a performance of Much Ado About Nothing by demi-paradise productions in Lancaster Castle. She has exhibited at both the 2013 and 2018 Printfest in Ulverston and in galleries throughout the North of England. In 2022 Cathy was commissioned by Northern printmakers to create a new work, connected to a different place along the length of Hadrian's Wall, celebrating the 1900 Festival.
