Dave Wood and Mike Vass
Plus Horizontal Sunday, Cramlington Learning Village Folk Band, Peter Dilley, Oliver and the Okapis

Mike Vass and Dave Wood are members of Malinky, one of Scotland's top touring folk bands. Mike who plays fiddle, is one of a family of musicians from Morayshire and was runner-up in 2007 in the BBC Radio Scotland Young Traditional Musician Of The Year award. Dave is from Derbyshire and is a graduate from the Folk Music Degree course at Newcastle University. Dave played for several years in the acclaimed young band CrossCurrent before joining Malinky.

Horizontal Sunday are established favourites at Horsley – a delightful trio of fiddle, harp and melodeon; Cramlington Learning Village Folk Band is Sarah Dorward of Horizontal Sunday’s school folk group; Peter Dilley is a singer songwriter; Oliver and the Okapis are from the Youth Folkworks Tuesdays class led by Dave Wood.

Playing a wide-ranging mix of acoustic roots, world styles and original music, acoustic roots duo MAMBO JAMBO are one of the most versatile and entertaining acts around.

MAMBO JAMBO (Pete Jack and Frankie Banham) take their audience on a musical journey, mixing up styles from all around the world – from Cuba and Brasil, the Caribbean, New Orleans, bluegrass and Eastern Europe. This gig is not to be missed!
