Carol Robinson of 'Toot de Sweet' spins and dyes a variety of yarns, makeing small, unique items from hand spun yarns, each to her own design. The nature of the yarn decides what is to be made with silky soft alpaca used for items worn next to the skin such as mittens and scarves, and Shetland wool for warm hats, slippers and tea cosies.

Many fleeces are obtained locally from small breeders of sheep and alpacas, and all the spinning and making occurs in the Tyne valley. She take commissions which are normally ready in a week.
